Richard Rogers, CFP, CPA, PFS

Richard founded Comprehensive Personal Financial Advisors (CPFA) in 1996 as a full service financial planning firm serving the needs of wealthy individuals. Richard brings extensive experience in investment management, estate planning, retirement planning, and income tax planning and return preparation. Prior to CPFA, Richard spent nine years with Price Waterhouse as a Senior Manager in the Personal Financial Specialists practice. This division was devoted to tax and financial planning for executives and wealthy clients. While at Price Waterhouse, he conducted hundreds of educational seminars for executives of Fortune 500 companies in all areas of personal financial planning.

Richard left Price Waterhouse in 1992 to become the Director of a Chicago-area family office. While in Chicago, he also served as Director of Consulting Services for the Family Office Exchange, a consulting firm specializing in best practices for creating and operating family offices.

Richard attended Texas Tech University, where he earned a BBA in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude, a MS in Oil and Gas Accounting and Management, and a MS in Taxation. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Richard enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, and basketball. Richard used to play basketball, then he coached basketball, and now he just criticizes basketball on television. He is quick to point out that he still holds the single season free throw percentage record (92%) for Littlefield High School basketball.
